Train to Reign

A Potter's Wheel Series

Your life has purpose. You have a destiny! When the goal of our faith is merely to keep us safe from the devil, merely to survive and is not to thrive in Christ, we miss the heart of our Father! He destined us to overcome and to advance His Kingdom. Romans 5 says that through Jesus. He gives us the power to “reign in life.” Every successful athlete and businessman has to train and discipline areas of their lives to allow for sustainable growth and to get to reign in life. It is more than talent that is needed. Discipline and training is needed, we need to be trained to reign. This series takes a dive into areas we feel the Lord is highlighting for us to train and discipline further to allow God to advance His kingdom in and through us.

The Discipline of Generosity

by Pastor Kurt Platt
02 October, 2022

God’s heart for us is that we would “thrive” in life. Disciplines are what help us to do that. Paul said that he disciplined his body so that he did not run aimlessly but ran his race with purpose. Generosity is one of those disciplines, that if we would live it out, it would actually help us to thrive. Generosity demonstrates God’s love to others and spreads the fragrance of Christ.

Rom 8:14 says, “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.”

The word “sons” here in Greek is “houos.” It can mean the ‘mature sons of God’. The sons of God who are mature are those who allow the Holy Spirit to lead them. It’s God’s desire for us all to grow to the fullness of maturity … spiritually, emotionally, relationally, and physically. Let’s let Him lead us.

Train to Reign

by Pastor Kevin Ward
21 August, 2022

This is an encouraging message of removing shame, revealing God’s plan of double honor for you in and through God’s plan for each one of us in and through authentic fellowship.

Just as each successful athlete, professional or worker has to discipline themselves, train themselves, be coached to improve to advance in their careers, so we too have to train ourselves to reign, training ourselves to be intentional to fellowship. Since Covid 19 regulations have impacted our known world, people have been drawn into withdrawing from true fellowship. Yet, fellowship with God and with His family in and through His Church is key to the Lord’s commanded blessing, to His anointing, grace and our growth. This is the place iron sharpens iron. What if Satan’s plan was to use Covid 19 to get you to withdraw from fellowship in His Church, to withdraw from Jesus ministry gifts? We look at four common excuses used by Christians and what Father God says to each excuse.
